Adriano Veldorale was born in Pistoia in 1976. He started to sculpt when he was still very young, using different materials for his design research: wood, stone, steel, resin. In recent years he has been experimenting with iron, cutting metal solid to pieces, mostly to triangles: they are used like the small pieces of three-dimensional mosaic works with a strong visual impact, as for example “The Bride” and “Resurrection”. At the same time these sculptures have the intimate delicacy that characterizes his creations since the beginning. Since 2011 Veldorale has exhibited in individual and collective art shows. In 2014 he received the Honourable Mention of Critics and the Press Award at the Biennale of Contemporary Art in Benevento. He won the Silver Fiorin for the Sculpture Section of the Florence Award in 2014, with his work “Untouchable”, that was exhibited in the Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio in Florence. In 2017 the exhibition of “Resurrection” in the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Corte in Pistoia, is one of the selected events inside Pistoia Italian Capital of Culture programme. He received a “Special Mention” at Fiorart, Premio Fiora 2019 with “Nuvola Arida – Dry Cloud”.
